A mini-retreat in Glendalough for women who are planning, hoping or trying to conceive.

Trying to conceive, whether you are trying naturally or with fertility treatment, is often a lonely and stressful experience, especially if you have experienced losses previously or have been trying for a long time without any joy.
This half-day retreat at the cosy Glendalough Sanctuary offers you a space away from all the noise, information and (unwanted) advice, so that you can rest and connect with the healing wisdom of your own body and your amazing voice.
We will share with you the nourishing practices of yoga nidra (yogic sleep), mantra and vocalisation, deep listening, womb nourishing yoga, and acupuncture. You also have the option of extending your retreat by booking a stay or a sauna directly with the Sanctuary. Our greatest hope is that you will leave feeling rested, heard and hopeful.
Your facilitators are Emer McFarlane, an Acupuncturist and Reiki Master specialising in women’s wellbeing, and Rachel Moore-Oliviero, a Yoga Teacher specialising in women’s wellbeing (who is also trying to conceive). We both have a love of mantra and a deep belief in the power of our voices to heal our hearts and more. And we both understand, through personal and professional experience, that women who are trying to conceive, need space to rest and reconnect to their bodies, their voices, and to hope.
No experience of yoga or mantra is needed, and you do not need to be flexible or able to sing! Mats, cushions and blankets are provided, as well as some tasty snacks, so you only need to show up, exactly as you are. Spaces are limited to 8 women.
